We believe that Jesus is the Messiah
He is the One about whom the prophets of Israel wrote: The promised seed of the woman (Gen. 3:15), the star of Jacob (Num. 24:16-17), the Anointed Ruler from the house of David (Jer. 23:5-6; Mic. 5:2), who will rule the world (Dan. 7:13-14), but who also bore the sufferings of His people (Isa. 52:13-53:12). Through His victory over death and sin, He opened the way to God, the Father (Rom. 8). Through faith in Him, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13). "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth ... all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together." (Col. 1:15, 16a, 17). He is the Lion of Judah (Rev. 5:5), who will one day return to establish His Kingdom of peace on earth forever (Rev. 1:7; Isa. 2:2-11; Ezek. 37:27-28).
The Bible is a Jewish book, and testifies about Him
We believe that the Bible speaks about the past, present and future of Israel. God has entrusted the Jewish People with his Holy Word (Rom. 3:1-2). Jewish Prophets wrote down the words of God and Jewish sages carefully preserved them throughout the centuries. We must be thankful for that.
The Messiah came from Israel. Paul writes: “of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God” (Rom. 9:5).
The Messiah also came for Israel. In Matthew 15:25, Jesus says: “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Jewish apostles and evangelists worked tirelessly to include us in the Good News. They did this because the love of Christ compelled them (2 Cor 5:14).
This is why we distribute the Word of God, the Bible
It is the same love of the Messiah which today compels us to distribute the Word of God, and to encourage Jewish people to discover their Messiah. Because "how then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?" (Rom. 10:14). Therefore, we believe that the distribution of God’s Word has absolute priority. Today, but also for the future!
God's Word is the most precious Gift we can offer the Jewish people.
